Merseyside Derby should be heated, and could tip balance of power towards blues

Does anyone remember the last Merseyside Derby?

Liverpool, their fans, Thiago, and Jordan Pickford sure do.

Pickford scythed down Virgil van Dijk with an awful challenge, which he got away with, by the way (because there was an offside), ending the Liverpool center back’s season and blowing up his knee ligaments in the process.

But that was just the start of the action: Richarlson had this tackle on Thiago, which sent Richarlson off with a straight red, and Thiago to the sidelines for three months.

To say people are anticipating this rematch is probably an understatement.

Liverpool is a huge favorite, but have not played well in the league for months. They did win 2-0 midweek in the UEFA Champions League, though, which could give them some momentum.

Everton has DCL and Allan back, and I think, even though Everton is usually AWFUL against Liverpool, this could be the chance for the Toffees to finally get a result, and pull even on points with the Reds (with a game in hand).

Look for Fulham and Borussia Dortmund to get wins today.
