Insomniac soccer: Sean Miller picks the Central Coast Mariners vs Newcastle Jets in the Australia A-League

Who doesn’t love staying up, or getting up, to watch soccer overnight?

If you are a fan of the Australian A-League, you are in luck. The league started back up this week, and there is a game on late tonight/early tomorrow (depending on your viewpoint of time and space) that is of interest.

Central Coast Mariners finished last in 2019-20, with just five wins from 26 games. While the Newcastle Jets finished only three places ahead, they were 16 points clear of the Mariners, and just seven points out of third.

Tough to call these to start a new season, but Newcastle should be able to get a result here.
