Friday La Liga: Atlético Madrid can all but qualify for UEFA Champions League with win Friday over Mallorca — Miller has odds and picks

When the COVID-19 restart happened, it looked like Atlético Madrid was in some trouble.

Diego Simeone’s side was sitting sixth in La Liga; but since then, Atléti is red hot, and come into Friday five points ahead of fifth place Villareal.

A win over Mallorca would give Atlético Madrid an eight-point lead for third place with just four games to go, and with VIllareal playing Barcelona this weekend, it may all but lock up a top four spot.

Not bad for a team you could have got at +200 to make the top four just a few weeks ago.

Look for Atlético Madrid to shut down another side today.
