Monday Bundesliga action: Miller picks Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen

There were eight matches this weekend in the Bundesliga, and seven went the way most people would have thought.

Except for the RB Leipzig draw, which killed just about everyone on the planet’s parlays.

Bayer Leverkusen might be the biggest beneficiary of the 1-1 draw Saturday. If Die Werkself can win on the road Monday, at struggling Werder Bremen, they would be one point back of a top four spot in the table, with the UEFA Champions League beckoning.

Bremen is five points behind Fortuna Dusseldorf, but have two matches in hand as of Monday. A win would cut that deficit to two points.

This series has been close over the last few seasons, but Bremen has been atrocious this campaign, with a minus-28 goal difference.

I will take Leverkusen.
