Wednesday will be a huge day for the world of sport, and for bettors around the world.

Tomorrow, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will have a teleconference with the leaders of the various German states, with the states set to vote to approve May 15 as the resumption date for the Bundesliga.

Get in!

All but two of the 18 teams in the top flight have nine matches left in the campaign (Eintracht Frankfurt and Werden Bremen have 10), and it is Bayern Munich that has a four-point lead (55 points) over second place Borussia Dortmund (51 points), with RB Leipzig (50 points) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (49 points) all within striking distance if the champions do not come out of the quarantine firing.

While there were 10 positive cases (in a blanket test of 1,724 players and staff at its 36 first and second division clubs) that the German Football League (DFL) got from testing, it will not stop the league from returning.

The Bundesliga should be joined in May by top flight leagues in Portugal (Primeira Liga) and Poland (Ekstraklasa), with other leagues around Europe to follow in June.

The Faroe Islands Meistaradeildin is back as well this weekend, to join Belarus, Taiwan, and Turkmenistan.

So for fans and bettors starved for more action, with the Nicaraguan season coming to an end Wednesday leaving just Belarus, Taiwan, and Turkmenistan this weekend, there will soon be options galore on your parlay sheets.
