Thursday marks the return of the UEFA Europa League, as 48 teams will be in action on their quest to make it into the knockout stage draw in mid-December.

English and Spanish teams have dominated this competition in the last decade, winning nine of the last 10 (and the last eight) titles. Sevilla is one of those teams; the La Liga club has lifted the trophy five times, including three in a row from 2014-2016. The Sevillistas Los Rojiblancos will head to Azerbaijan for match day one to take on Qarabag.

Arsenal made the final last season, before the Gunners fell to fellow London team Chelsea. Unai Emery's clubs have always done well in this competition (he was the Sevilla coach for the three-peat), but the Gunners face a stern test in their first match: fellow 2018-19 semifinalist Eintracht Frankfurt.
