Soccer: Miller’s got a Friday Premier League match with Liverpool v Southhampton and a Primeira League match with Porto v Boavista

Matches begin at 3 pm Friday

The Premier League merry-go-round continues Friday, with second place Liverpool able to jump back to the top with a win on the south coast of England.

Sadio Mane will try to lead his team past Southampton back to the top of the table, and with Manchester City playing in the F.A. Cup semifinals Saturday, the Citizens will not get a chance to move back ahead if Liverpool wins.

Liverpool has struggled at times in matches like this over the last few years, so will it be different today? Liverpool has won three in a row against Southampton, but is just 3-2-2 in the last seven against the Saints.

In Portugal, the situation is much the same. Porto can jump ahead of Benfica with a win over Baovista.

Porto has won seven in a row against its opponent, and 11 of 12 (one draw). The last three home wins were all by multiple goals.
