Soccer: Miller looks at Saturday games in Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga

Action begins at 8:30 am

Another huge day Friday takes us into the turn, as the teams around the world get ready to head into the final two months of their domestic campaigns and cup competitions.

The races at the top of England’s two top leagues and the German Bundesliga could not be any closer, while France, Italy, and Spain have been all but over for awhile.

In the Premier League, Manchester City heads to London to take on a last place Fulham team that is leaking goals every time it takes the pitch. City will need to win to jump back ahead of Liverpool at the top of the table by a point, before the huge match Sunday between Liverpool and Tottenham.

Fulham comes in with one win in 13, and eight straight losses. The Cityzens are unbeaten in 12, with the lone draw the League Cup final win over Chelsea in penalties. City could be ruthless in this spot.

Manchester United just named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as its permanent manager Thursday, and will want to continue its push towards a top four UEFA Champions League spot. The Red Devils get Watford, a team they have beaten 14 of the last 15 times the teams have played. Expect that domination to continue.

In Germany, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are tied at the top (60 points), with eight league matches to go in the season. Both are heavy favorites Saturday, although Bayern has a Freiberg team lower in the table, but on the road. Dortmund is home against Wolfsburg.

Munich usually thumps Freiburg, with seven wins from eight. But the last meeting was a 1-1 draw. Expect Bayern Munich to rectify that result.

Dortmund has five wins from six against Wolfsburg, with a slim 1-0 win in November.

The two leaders in Italy and Spain, Juventus and Barcelona, should roll to easy wins.
