Thursday NCAA Football with Joe Wiz: season kicks off in earnest with 16 FBS games, ECU, App. St. in focus

Tonight is the real opening weekend for the NCAA Football season.

Yes, there were some games last weekend, and a couple this week: but Thursday night, there are 16 FBS games (and plenty more FCS games) for you to bet.

I am going to look at the Appalachian State East Carolina University contest on ESPN U at 7:30 p.m. EDT.

There is some hype around this App. St. team, but I think nearly 10 points here might be too much to lay against the Pirates.
