With 1 month to go, Clemson leads DraftKings BCS Playoff betting — Miller breaks it down

Which team is going to win the BCS Playoff title in January?

Which team is going to win the BCS Playoff title in January?

If you tell me you know for sure, I will have to ask you, where the hell were you in January 2020 telling me about this utterly ridiculous 2020?

Oh, I see, prognostication only works for certain things 😂 😂.

Well, if you can pick the winner out of this field right now, you should get a prize.

DraftKings has a picture heading into December of which team bettors are favoring right now, and it is a team with more losses than any of the top four teams.

Clemson, with odds of +350, is getting over a quarter of the handle (26%) and almost a quarter of the tickets (23%) even with a loss to Notre Dame, of course without future number one pick Trevor Lawrence.

The Irish, with 14% of handle and 14 % of tickets (+900 odds) are second choice of DraftKings bettors, just ahead of Ohio State (+300), which has 14% handle and 10% tickets

The team that is the current favorite to win the BCS Playoff, Alabama (+125) is getting just 8% of the handle with DraftKings. However, the Crimson Tide are second on tickets at 15%, with fellow SEC team Florida (6% of handle, 5% of tickets, odds +1000) just behind them.

And what about the potential party crashers, the Cincinnati Bearcats? They are currently ranked seventh and off for two weeks, which is just enough time for the teams ahead of them to implode and for Cincinnati to become the first team outside of the Group of 5 to make it into the BCS Playoff.

At +10000, and on 3% of the tickets and 3% of the take, the Bearcats are getting a little play. Hey, it is 2020, and anything can (and probably will) happen.

Here is the chart in full.
