Today, we’ll reveal the opening odds and three bets below for the Premier League matches on Saturday, September 13th. Let’s get into it!
It has been a fairly tough start to the season for Forest, who finished last season in the top 10.
Now, they have to travel to Emirates Stadium to take on an extremely solid Arsenal team, who will be looking to get back in the win column after taking a loss to the reigning champions, Liverpool, last weekend. Arsenal is the better team, and they have been amazing in their home stadium.
Bournemouth has been great so far, with two wins and only one loss, to Liverpool, under their belt. Brighton is a solid team and also won both matches between these two sides last season, each 2-1.
This should certainly be a fun game, as 4 of the last 5 matches between these teams have hit the Over 2.5 goal mark.
Sunderland has been the most successful of the newly promoted teams this season, with 2 wins in their first 3 back in the Premier League. Palace is a good team, though, so this will be a tough test.
Palace’s last match was a 3-0 win over Aston Villa on the road. Both teams have allowed only one goal so far this season, so this may be a low-scoring affair.
Aston Villa are still winless this year after finishing in 6th last season. They now need to take on an Everton team that has looked much better since their week 1 loss to Leeds.
Villa has owned this matchup, historically, winning 4 of the last 5 head-to-heads, including both of last year's matches. I think they are a more well-rounded team as well, so this may be their turnaround.
Much like Aston Villa in the game before this, Fulham is without a win so far this year. They have a favorable matchup this weekend as Leeds will come to Craven Cottage.
Leeds has been solid so far in their return to the Premier League, with a 1-0 win against Everton and a 0-0 draw with Newcastle, but also a 0-5 loss to Arsenal. Their offense has struggled, and Fulham has a solid defense, so I am liking Fulham at home here.
Newcastle’s offense has struggled this season, but Wolves have just looked horrible. They are 0-3 to start the season and have been outscored 8-2 by their opponents.
Newcastle is winless so far, with their only loss coming against Liverpool, but two 0-0 draws aren’t a great indicator of a strong offense. Newcastle had a great run last season on the tails of solid defense, but they will need to score some goals to get back into Champions League Contention.
Tottenham has looked revitalized this season, albeit on the heels of a home loss to Bournemouth. However, their offense has seemed solid, and they are taking on a West Ham team that allowed 8 goals in their first 2 games.
I think Tottenham should be able to take advantage of some mistakes on the road this weekend.
I think Chelsea is going to be a strong team this year, and even on the road, I like them this weekend. Chelsea has a potent offense and has outscored opponents 7-1 so far this year.
Brentford has scored in all 3 of their games this year, but I think Chelsea will be able to separate against a defense that has allowed 5 goals in 3 games.
Brighton at Bournemouth Over 2.5 Goals (-155) - Over the last 5 matches between these two sides, we have seen over 2.5 goals hit 4 times. Bournemouth has scored in all 3 of its games this season, and Brighton has scored in 2 of 3, so I think we could see these offenses shine a bit.
Leeds at Fulham (-110) - Leeds hasn’t scored since their week 1 victory, and their offense has been hurt since they lost a few key midfielders early in the year. Fulham has looked solid, albeit without a win, but I think they break through this weekend against a lower-tier team.
Tottenham (+110) at West Ham - Tottenham is coming into this one off of a loss, but they have looked good so far this year. They scored 5 goals over their first 2 games, which included a win over Man City. West Ham won 3-0 last week, but that was the first time we saw them even look competent. I like Tottenham on the road here.
