Today, we’ll reveal the opening odds and three bets below for the Premier League matches on Sunday, April 13th. Let’s get into it!
I’m expecting Chelsea to dominate this game, however, Ipswich did pull off a 2-0 win against Chelsea earlier this season. It is hard to bet against the Blues here, though.
They have been in good form recently, losing only 1 of their last 5. Meanwhile, Ipswich has dropped 4 of their last 5 and are staring at a relegation spot. I don’t love the odds here, but I think Chelsea is going to handle business at home.
Much like Chelsea vs Ipswich, I think this will be a one-sided affair. West Ham has been pretty bad this season, sitting in the bottom half of the league table.
Liverpool, on the other hand, has been dominant. Liverpool has lost just one time this season at home, and West Ham has won only 4 of 15 on the road. I think Liverpool wins comfortably.
Wolves have seemed to claw their way out of the relegation race as they now sit 12 points ahead of Ipswich for the final spot. Wolves have won 3 straight coming into this match and have lost just 1 of their 5 league games.
Meanwhile, Tottenham has been bad recently and basically all season. They lost 3 of their last 5, with their only win coming against last-place Southampton. Now, they will face a Wolves team on the road that has been playing pretty well. This should be a pretty fun one.
It has been a rough season for Man U, but things have started to look better lately. They have lost just one of their last 5 league games but will be facing a tough test on the road against a hot Newcastle team.
Newcastle has won 4 of their last 5 with their lone loss coming to league leading Liverpool. Man U has been kept scoreless in their last 2 games, so they will certainly be looking to get back on track here.
Ipswich Town at Chelsea -1.5 (-125) - I think Chelsea will have a pretty dominant outing against a bad Ipswich side. Chelsea hasn’t exactly been lighting up scoreboards recently, but Ipswich allows 2.1 goals per game on average.
Tottenham at Wolves (+130) - Tottenham has been struggling all season, and I don’t see that changing. Wolves are coming into this one off 3 straight wins, and they have home-field on their side. These two teams had a 2-2 draw earlier this season at Tottenham.
Manchester United at Newcastle (-140) - It has been an up-and-down season for Man U, but I don't see things turning around here. Newcastle has been solid all season and is battling to stay in the top 5. I expect them to handle business at home.
