Forest is coming off of a brutal 4-0 on the road against Bournemouth last weekend. Before that, they were one of the hottest teams in the league, but that beatdown may have a lasting effect.
Brighton is unbeaten in their last 5 away matches in league play, but they have drawn 3 of those. The first matchup against these teams ended in a 2-2 stalemate back in September. I expect this game to be another close one between two solid teams.
This game may be the most exciting of the weekend for me. Bournemouth has been on the run of a lifetime, being unbeaten over their last 12 games through all competitions.
However, they will have to take on Liverpool this week who is seemingly unbeatable. Liverpool’s only league loss came all the way back in September against Nottingham Forest. This will certainly be a tough road test for them, so I am excited to see if Bournemouth can give them a run.
Everton has begun to turn a new leaf under their new manager David Moyes, winning back-to-back league games. Now they will be taking on a struggling Leicester team on their home turf.
Leicester is coming off of a big win on the road against Tottenham, but in general, they have been awful this season. Leicester has posted only 1 clean sheet this season, so expect some goals in this one.
This is a battle between two bottom-tier league teams. Southampton has won only 1 game and Ispwich only 3.
Both of these teams are on the fast track to relegation with little hope of crawling out of the hole they have dug. The last time these teams met it ended in a 1-1 draw, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar result.
Newcastle has won 9 of their last 10 with their only loss coming against Bournemouth who has been on fire. However, it will be a tough test with Fulham coming to town.
Fulham have lost only once in their last 5 road games including a road draw against Liverpool. Newcastle has been a great surprise this season and the emergence of Alexander Isak has been phenomenal. Expect a fun game with goals from each side.
Wolves have been in shambles this season. They have managed only 4 wins and 4 draws in league play and currently sit in a relegation position.
Villa hasn’t been amazing, but they are in much better form than Wolves. They are unbeaten in their last 5 league games including a 2-2 road draw against Arsenal. I think Villa outclasses Wolves, even on the road.
Brighton at Nottingham Forest to Draw +250 - Brighton has 10 draws on the season and has been extremely pesky on the road. Forest has been great but coming off a brutal loss and playing a tough opponent, I can’t imagine much separation in this one.
Everton (-130) vs Leicester - It is tough to take Everton as a winner, but they have started to look much better over the last 2 weeks. Leicester is coming off of a win, but they have been awful this season. I’ll take Everton at home.
Aston Villa (+110) at Wolves - Villa hasn’t been bad, but they certainly haven’t been as good as they imagined this season. However, they are taking on a Wolves team that has looked horrible. I’ll take the plus money on them all day.
