Today, we’ll reveal the opening odds and three best bets below for the EPL’s 19th Matchday schedule. Let's get into it!
Newcastle has been great so far this season and especially in their last 4 games. They have won their last 4 league games by a combined 13 goals to 0.
They currently sit 5th in the league and will be marching into Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take on a struggling Spurs squad. Tottenham has won just once in their last 5, so they will be looking for some momentum this weekend.
Neither of these teams has been great through their last 5, but Leicester has been plain bad. They are winless in their last 5 league games and have netted just 1 goal over their last 4.
Villa is the more talented team and even though they're on the road I think they'll be able to get back on track.
Bournemouth didn’t lose a game through all of December and while they didn’t win a ton, they forced draws and took wins where they could get them.
They have been solid all season long and are the better team on paper against an Everton team that currently sits 16th in the league. This should be a fun game, but I give the edge to Bournemouth at home.
I love the odds in this game. Chelsea is coming off of two brutal losses, but they were on a 12-game unbeaten streak before that. Palace by all means is not a bad team.
They have done well at forcing good teams to draws up to this point, but they struggle to piece together wins, with only 4 so far on the season. We’ll see if Chelsea can get back on track on the road to start their 2025 campaign.
It was a rough month for Man City in December and they have won just 1 of their last 5 league games. Injuries have been rampant, but City still has a talented team.
West Ham has been extremely average to this point of the season and are coming off a brutal 5-0 loss against Liverpool. I favor Man City at home to start the 2025 campaign.
It has been a rough go for both of these teams. Southampton sits dead last in the league and has managed only 1 win and 3 draws through 18 games this season.
Brentford is still sitting mid-league but has won only on of their last 5. It’s always tough to get a win on the road, but Brentford will be looking to get 3 points on the road here.
Arsenal is coming into this game hot. They have won their last 3 games by a combined score of 9-2. On the other hand, Brighton has not won a game over their last 5, but they have drawn 4.
They will have the advantage of home turf, but they will need to attempt to stop this red hot Arsenal offense.
Fulham is unbeaten in their last 5 games with 4 draws and 1 win. This is s pretty impressive streak including draws with both Arsenal and Liverpool and a win against Chelsea.
Ipswich is also coming off a 2-0 victory over Chelsea, but it will be a tough task to go on the road and beat Fulham. Ipswich needs all the points than can muster if they want to avoid relegation.
Things have been going downhill for Man U. They are losers of their last 4 games and currently sit 14th in the league.
Now, they will be traveling to Anfield to take on the seemingly unbeatable Liverpool squad. Man U is desperate for some momentum this season, but I’m not sure this is the week hat will start.
Forest has emerged as one of the better teams in the league so far this season. They currently sit 3rd in the league and have won their last 5 games, including 3 clean sheets over their last 3.
They will now travel to take on a Wolves team who has seemingly gotten hot. They have 2 wins and 1 draw in their last 3. We have seen Wolves get hot before this season and it wore off. I think that may happen again against a red-hot Forest squad.
Newcastle (+125) at Tottenham - Newcastle has been on fire lately, winning their last four games by a combined 13 goals to 0. They may be on the road, but Spurs have been struggling lately.
Chelsea (-110) at Crystal Palace - Chelsea ended 2024 on a sour note, losing their last 2 games to fairly bad opponents. They will look to regain momentum against a very beatable Palace squad.
Nottingham Forest (+135) at Wolves - This is amazing value to me. Forest has been amazing lately and while Wolves have been seeming to get better, they are still fighting relegation. I think Forest can dominate this matchup.
