With plenty of NHL action on tap tonight — 9 games in total — there are some great player props worth checking out. From anytime goalscorers to points and assist props, there’s no shortage of bets for your slip tonight.
Based on some of their recent trends and matchups, here are 5 of the best NHL player prop bets, including two anytime goalscorers and a few plus-money plays that are loaded with some serious value.
Player Prop Odds: +185
Despite being one of the oldest players in the NHL, Crosby continues to be a force, and he’s had success against the Blues.
He has scored a goal in 4 of his last 5 home games against St. Louis. The Pens are also still fighting for a playoff spot (they’re not out yet), and Crosby tends to step up in big moments like these.
The Blues have struggled defensively, allowing 2.97 goals per game this season, ranking them in the bottom half of the league. Their penalty kill is also weak at 71.2% placing them as one of the worst teams, which gives Crosby even more opportunities on the power play.
At nearly 2-to-1 odds, this is a strong value play and we simply can’t pass this one up.
Player Prop Odds: +270
If you’re looking for a big payout, Bratt at +270 is one of the more intriguing bets of the night.
He has scored at least 1 goal in 5 of his last 6 games against the Oilers, a trend that’s just too hard to ignore. In his last game, he notched a goal and 2 assists against the dominant Blue Jackets, so he’s definitely on fire. On top of that, Edmonton’s defense has been shaky at times, and their penalty kill at 75.2% is far from bulletproof. That’s where we think Bratt will strike in tonight’s matchup.
Bratt is one of New Jersey’s most consistent offensive weapons as he has 18 goals and 55 points this season. He’s a machine on the ice.
The Devils should be fairly competitive in this game, even against one of the best duos in hockey, and at nearly 3-to-1 odds, Bratt is worth a shot to add to your bet slip.
Player Prop Odds: -135
Stützle has been one of Ottawa’s best playmakers and it’s easy to see why. His recent home performances make this a strong bet. He has recorded at least 1 assist in 7 of the Senators’ last 8 home games. Beyond that, he had 13 helpers in his last 13 games. At this point, the bet feels like a lock.
Boston’s defense is strong, but the Senators generate plenty of offense at home as they’re sitting at 2.88 GF/G. Stützle is on Ottawa’s top line and power play unit which only increases his chances of setting up a goal.
The odds aren’t huge at -135, but between his trends and ice time, this is a high-percentage play.
Player Prop Odds: -130
Eichel has been on a solid playmaking run as well as he’s notched at least 1 assist in each of his last 6 games and 2 of them were multi-assist games and he’s not showing any signs of slowing down. Vegas has a strong offensive unit, and they should control the pace against a weaker Columbus team.
The Blue Jackets allow 3.31 GA/G with a .893 SV% which makes them one of the worst defensive teams in the league at 27th.
With Eichel undoubtedly playing heavy minutes on Vegas’ top line and power play, he has a great chance to pick up an assist and keep his streak going. At -130, we wish the odds were betting, but this one seems like an easy money play.
Player Prop Odds: +185
This is a sneaky plus-money play with some serious upside. We just couldn’t pass it up.
Holloway has been distributing the puck well, recording an assist in each of the Blues’ last 4 games as favorites. He’s playing a bigger role in Edmonton’s offense and getting minutes with some of their top scorers like Draisaitl and McDavid.
The Blues aren’t exactly a defensive powerhouse, and Edmonton’s offense is undeniably explosive. If the Oilers get on the board multiple times, which shouldn’t be a problem at all, Holloway has a great shot at picking up a helper.
At +185, this is a value play worth considering if you want to make some decent money tonight with your bets.
Tonight’s 9-game slate offers plenty of strong prop bets, but these 5 stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Crosby and Bratt provide goal-scoring upside with some great odds, while Stützle, Eichel, and Holloway bring great assist potential.
With a decent mix of plus-money plays to boost the bankroll and safer bets to keep you afloat, this lineup gives you solid value across the board.
