We've got some great matchups on the ice tonight, and that means some seriously strong player prop betting opportunities that you won’t want to miss out on.

Whether you're backing the usual goal scorers, playmakers, or even the shot-takers, there's value to be found all across tonight’s NHL slate.

To help you get the best NHL player prop picks for your bet slip, we’ve put together 5 of the best props of the night. Get ready to get in on the action with the best of the best.

Sebastian Aho Under 2.5 Shots on Goal

  • Player Prop Odds: -110

Aho has been under 2.5 shots in 3 of his last 5 games, making this a solid value play. Of course, this player prop pick might surprise some bettors, but there’s a bit more to it than meets the eye.

While he’s undeniably a key offensive driver for the Hurricanes, he tends to distribute the puck more than fire it himself. His season average of 2.66 shots per game isn’t far off from this line, but with the Bruins' stingy defense allowing just 3.18 goals per game which puts them in the middle of the pack despite their record, Aho may have fewer shooting opportunities tonight. Then you add on the fact that the last time Aho played against the Bruins he only notched 2 SOG, this makes this play even sharper.

While we do wish the odds were a bit better, we expect him to focus on setting up teammates rather than peppering the net with shots.

JJ Peterka Over 0.5 Points

  • Player Prop Odds: -148

Peterka has been one of Buffalo’s most consistent contributors as of late. He’s recorded at least 1 point in 6 straight games and we think tonight he extends that streak to 7.

Of course, facing a Tampa Bay team that ranks 5th in goals against per game with just 2.61 won’t make it easy, but Peterka has been producing regardless of opponent. So far in his streak, he’s added either a goal or assist against Montreal, Carolina, Anaheim, and the New York Rangers. So, he’s shown he knows how to get it done.

Buffalo has averaged 3.2 goals per game which puts them in the upper half of the NHL, and if they find the scoresheet, Peterka is likely involved, especially if they’re on the power play.

Andrei Svechnikov Over 2.5 Shots on Goal

  • Player Prop Odds: +105

Svechnikov has been getting pucks on the net consistently. He’s averaging 2.69 shots per game this season despite being on somewhat of a dry streak when it comes to shots lately.

With Carolina facing a mediocre Boston team, we expect Svechnikov to be aggressive and have no problem breaking through their defensive structure.

The real gem in this NHL player prop is getting plus money at +105 on a player who’s capable of volume shooting. This makes this a strong value bet that you won’t want to miss out on.

Nathan MacKinnon Over 1.5 Points

  • Player Prop Odds: -130

MacKinnon has been on fire, recording 2+ points in 7 of his last 8 games against San Jose. In fact, he’s put up 2+ points in 2 of his last 3 games.

With the Sharks being one of the worst defensive teams in the league, we can’t imagine MacKinnon not hitting this bar again tonight. They’re already allowing a league-worst 3.65 goals per game, so he shouldn’t have any problems.

With Colorado pushing for playoff positioning and MacKinnon in elite form, we think he should have another multi-point night. The odds aren’t the best in the world, but we’ll take easy money all day long.

Kyle Connor Anytime Goal Scorer

  • Player Prop Odds: +135

We always have to include at least one-time goalscorer in our player props, and we couldn’t pass up Kyle Connor for this one.

Connor has been one of the most reliable players in finding the back of the net against the Flyers as he’s scored in 3 straight road games in Philadelphia.

Given that the Jets are averaging 3.5 goals per game, and Connor is a key piece of their attack, we can’t picture this game without him lighting the lamp at least once — maybe even twice.

At +135, we’ll take this bet all day. There's a strong value for him to extend his goal streak against the Flyers.

As with all of our NHL player prop bets, these 5 props offer a decent mix of safe plays and even some plus-money value.

Whether it’s MacKinnon’s dominance against San Jose, Svechnikov’s shooting volume, or Connor’s goal-scoring streak, these bets are all backed by solid trends, and of course, our expert analysis.

There are 9 games on the slate tonight, so you should have no problem finding some excellent player props for your bet slip.
