We've analyzed the matchups and odds to highlight 5 standout props. These picks include a mix of OVER and UNDER plays and even some plus-money options for the value hunters out there.
Player Prop Odds: -105
Jack Hughes has been a shot machine for the New Jersey Devils this season. He’s currently averaging 4.15 shots per game and definitely not slowing down anytime soon.
He faces a Los Angeles Kings team allowing around 31.4 shots per game, a middle-of-the-pack mark so they’re not exactly invincible at the net.
Hughes put up an impressive 108 shots in 26 games, and with the Devils leaning on him to lead their offense, he'll likely blow right through 3.5 shots tonight.
At nearly even money, this is a great play in a game where Hughes will undoubtedly be heavily involved in front of the crease.
Player Prop Odds: +155
Cole Caufield is Montreal's top sniper with 17 goals in 28 games. That puts him in the top 10 scorers in the NHL.
He’s averaging almost 3 shots per game and has been especially effective on the power play. The PK is where the Penguins have struggled, ranking 13th in penalty-kill percentage at 80.5. Not great, but opportunities for Caufield.
Pittsburgh also allows 3.2 goals per game which creates plenty of opportunities for Caufield to strike and we’re confident he will.
At +155, this is excellent value for one of the NHL's most reliable and consistent goal-scorers.
Player Prop Odds: +150
William Nylander has been Toronto's most consistent forward, with 17 goals and 28 assists in 28 games.
He’s recorded at least 2 points in several of his most recent games, including a few massive 3-point performances.
The Ducks have allowed 3.07 goals per game this season and are in the bottom third of the league in several defensive metrics.
Nylander thrives against weaker opponents like the Ducks, and at +150 odds, this multi-point prop has great upside you won’t want to miss.
Player Prop Odds: +230
Dylan Strome has quietly been an offensive force for the Capitals. He’s notched 11 goals in 27 games and is steadily improving.
He’s seeing significant ice time on both the top line and power play unit, so the chances of an anytime goal are there especially considering he’s averaging almost 18 minutes TOI per game.
The Blue Jackets rank 31st in goals against per game (3.61) and are coming off a rough defensive stretch. This just keeps getting better and better for Strome.
With Strome's increased role and the solid matchup against the Blue Jackets, the +230 odds for him to find the back of the net make this one of our favorite prop bets of the night.
Player Prop Odds: -150
Adrian Kempe has been firing the puck consistently. So far this season he’s had 78 shots in 28 games (which comes out to 2.8 per game).
He’s exceeded +3 shots in 5 of his last 7 outings, and the Devils allow a middling 26.7 SOG per game. We’re thinking that Kempe will get his share of that considering how much time he spends on the ice.
In a game where the Kings will need Kempe to generate some serious offense against a tough Devils squad, expect him to reach at least 3 shots but don’t be surprised if he goes well beyond.
These prop bets blend safe plays and plus-money options to give you the max value while capitalizing on some of the more favorable matchups tonight.
Whether you’re backing Hughes’ insane shot volume or betting on Strome’s dominant scoring potential, there’s plenty of upside tonight.
