Wednesday NHL: Thiessen picks Montreal Canadiens vs Winnipeg Jets, Vegas Golden Knights vs Colorado Avalanche
As an Avs fan, I know that at some point, they will probably lose a game again.
They can’t go 21 wins in a row to end the season as Stanley Cup champs, right?
Colorado comes into Game 2 of its second round series against Vegas on a 10-game winning streak dating back to the end of the regular season, and looking like it might never lose another game.
That 7-1 Game 1 win Sunday is long gone, and it is now up to the Avs to continue home ice domination. But the Golden Knights played Colorado tough in the regular season, and can get back into this series with a win.
In the other game Wednesday, two teams no one thought would be here will play Game 1 with a chance to move into the final four after this series. Both Winnipeg and Montreal are going to come in loose, the Jets after sweeping the Oilers, and the Canadiens after adding to Toronto’s woes.
I think it will be a close series, but I like Winnipeg tonight, and in the series, to move on.
