With that said, both teams are starting to finally show signs of life. Detroit has recent victories over top-tier teams like the Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas has recent victories over the Florida Panthers. Siding with either of these teams is too risky as inconsistency has been an issue for both, but investing in the total here might be worth looking into. Dallas is 2-8 to the over in their last ten games and Detroit is 3-7. The last two meetings between the Red Wings and Stars have gone under 5.5 total.

Nashville is 6-4 in their last ten games and Chicago is 5-5. The Predators have won the last three meetings against the Blackhawks, two of them convincingly. Although this game should be too close for comfort, lean on Nashville to pull through in the end as they have demonstrated the ability to nullify Chicago on multiple occasions this season.
