Saturday NHL: Peterson picks St. Louis Blues vs Arizona Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs vs Vancouver Canucks
St. Louis Blues (-132) @ Arizona Coyotes (+109), 6 pm EDT; Toronto Maple Leafs (-277) @ Vancouver Canucks (+211), 7 pm EDT.
St. Louis Blues (-132) @ Arizona Coyotes (+109), 6 pm EDT
The St. Louis Blues are 3-2 in their last five games with two of those victories coming against the Minnesota Wild and the other against the Las Vegas Golden Knights – two teams that should have handled St. Louis convincingly. This tells me that the Blues are turning a corner and finally playing to their full potential. In addition to recent victories over two of the best in the West, St. Louis also pushed the Colorado Avalanche to the absolute limit on Wednesday night before falling just short, 4-3. The Blues hit the road for a Saturday night showdown in Arizona against the suddenly stagnant Coyotes who have lost five in a row. These two teams are trending in opposite directions so lean on the boys in blue here.
PICK: St. Louis Blues Moneyline (-132) also Under 5.5 (-120)
Toronto Maple Leafs (-277) @ Vancouver Canucks (+211), 7 pm EDT
After a forced COVID break of nearly three weeks following an outbreak, the Vancouver Canucks will play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night. Vancouver is on a three game losing streak and is 6-4 overall in their last ten games which included a 4-2 victory over the Maple Leafs on March 6. Toronto is 7-3 in their last ten games and keep chugging along. With this being Vancouver's first game back following an extended break, expect Toronto to push the pace and run away with this one early on. Toronto Puck Line is the play here.
PICK: Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5
