What can we expect out of Carter Hart and the Flyers’ defense after shutting out the Canadiens Sunday night? Boop has NHL scoring prop bets

Today's Philadelphia Flyers vs Montreal Canadiens game starts at 3 pm EDT and will be broadcast on NBCSN

Twice in its history, Philadelphia has registered back-to-back shutouts in the postseason. And the most recent of those just happens to be against Montreal in 2010. In fact, the Flyers blanked the Habs three times in that Eastern Conference Final, thanks to the magic of Michael Leighton.

Philly’s other back-to-back blanking was in the 1975 Quarterfinals against the Maple Leafs. Those were recorded by Bernie Parent, who managed four shutouts in that postseason despite suffering injuries to his shoulder and knee. (Wayne Stephenson added a fifth when Parent suffered his knee injury during pregame warmups.)

So, despite the five-goal onslaught the Canadiens unleashed in Game 2, we’re going with a couple of Unders on their Goal Total this afternoon. The Flyers have, in the other games, allowed just 1, 1, 1, 1 and 0.

We are also jumping back on The Philly Phive – Travis Konecny (24 regular season goals), Kevin Hayes (23), Sean Couturier (22), Claude Giroux (21) and James van Riemsdyk (19) – none of whom have yet to score a goal since March.

Again, we shopped around the main NJ mobile apps, just so that one or more of these guys do decide to twinkle the twine, it does so to the fullest addition to my wallet. We are also increasing our bets on the first and last goal of the game. (We love rooting for the key empty-netters!)
