NHL: Dietel likes the odds in the Rangers @ Capitals game

New York just traded fan favorite F Mats Zuccarello to the Stars last night for a package of picks

Rangers (+185) @ CAPITALS (-220), 12:30 p.m.
Pick: Capitals money line (-220)

The Rangers (27-26-8) head to the nations capital to take on the Capitals (34-21-7) in the latter end of a back-to-back for both teams. The Rangers put the beat down on the Devils yesterday at home with a score of 5-2. Yesterday the Caps got the beat down put on them by the Sabres as they inversely lost 5-2 on the road. We like the odds of them bouncing back today against a struggling New York team on the road.

The Caps are 6-3-1 in their last 10 while the Rangers are 5-4-1 in their last 10. New York just traded fan favorite F Mats Zuccarello to the Stars last night for a package of picks. F Kevin Hayes and D Adam McQuaid will still sit this game out to keep up their trade value. The Capitals on the other hand recently acquired F Carl Hagelin from the Kings and D Nick Jensen from the Red Wings in an attempt to add speed and shore up their back end. They are icing their full roster as they attempt to hold on to their Stanley Cup Champion title and make another run this year. Look for them to make quick work of the Rangers tonight at home and bounce back after a rough outing yesterday.
