Two NFC West teams make the list for best future bets to make as the NFL regular season wraps up next week. San Francisco is getting healthy at the right time, with Brock Purdy playing at an MVP level over the last month plus.
Speaking of MVP candidates, Matthew Stafford and the Rams should get your first look as Super Bowl favorites. Our two favorite futures to make before 2026 are below. Good luck, folks!
The 49ers are rolling as they sit 5th in the NFC, bound to play either Carolina or Tampa Bay in the first round of the Wild Card games if they win next week. Brock Purdy has been electric since returning from injury, throwing for 16 TDs in the last six games alongside 3 rushing TDs.
He is playing at an MVP level while this 49ers defense continues to get healthier and healthier. With a massive win over Chicago Sunday night, this squad is trending in the right direction.
With playoff experience, they have the upper hand over teams like Chicago, Seattle, Carolina, and Tampa Bay. Outside of their lost 2024 season, the 9ers have made the NFC Championship game four times in the previous five seasons.
While they are in the same division as San Francisco and are just 3-2 over their L5, Sean McVay and the Rams are the team to beat in the NFC. With Stafford playing at an MVP level and Davante Adams most likely returning for the postseason, this offense that puts up over 30 PPG will once again be at full firepower.
Also, with Blake Corum emerging to form one of the best 1-2 punches in the league, I’m not sure any NFC defense can compete with LA. When the Rams won it all in 2021, they had a superstar wide receiver alongside Stafford and a top-tier, consistent run game.
In 2025, they have the same formula plus a defense that is top 10 in PPG allowed, takeaways per game, and sacks. McVay’s playcalling is better than ever, and with the mixture of youth and experience, it could be LA’s time once again.
