The 5-1 Buccaneers travel to Detroit to take on a Lions team coming off an extremely emotional loss to Kansas City. Expect Jahmyr Gibbs to bounce back on his home turf.
Elsewhere, Houston travels to the PNW to take on a Seattle Seahawks offense that is soaring, with JSN, Troy Horton, and Cooper Kupp forming a dynamic playmaking core for Sam Darnold.
Gibbs has taken a step back as a receiver compared to last year, with 112 yards through the air through six games. He’s hit this prop three times but has failed to break out for a big game through the air.
Tampa Bay has been vulnerable through the air to the position and especially coming off a week where Gibbs was held in check (65 total yards) and longest carry or reception for just 15 yards, I’m looking for an extended pass catching gameplan for both running backs to open this game.
Horton has been a bright spot for this Seattle offense to start the year. The rookie has scored three touchdowns while securing 9 catches for 112 yards over six games. With Seattle putting up 30+ points in three of their games thus far, we can expect this MNF game to become a high scoring affair with Horton serving as a WR3 for this Seattle team.
He’s gone for 32/32/10/39 yards before blanking the stat box in last week’s low scoring, bizarre victory over Jacksonville. We are trusting Horton to get enough snaps and a positive gamescript to make another sizable impact for Darnold.
