Week 4 of the NFL season was host to a lot of exciting games and stunning results, including last night’s tie on Sunday Night Football, an ending that nobody saw coming. If you were excited about last night’s game, there are two on the slate this evening, although they’re met with slightly less fanfare.
We’re going to cover the battle between the 0-3 New York Jets and the 0-3 Miami Dolphins in a game that’ll see one of these two teams get their first win of the season.
With a projected over/under of 44.5 points, oddsmakers are expecting a decently high-scoring affair, so we’ve got you covered with our favorite player props from this one. Let’s get into it!
We were a bit surprised to see Justin Fields’ passing projection be so low in this game, especially since the Dolphins are allowing more than 220 passing yards per game on the season.
Fields has looked great when given the opportunity, and because we believe this to be a back-and-forth game tonight, it’s a great chance for him to have well over 200 yards through the air.
He might be coming back from injury, but he’s still shown to be a strong option in this passing attack, so we’re riding with him until he puts up a stinker.
Some people call Jaylen Waddle the Jets killer, which is exactly why we’re taking the over on his passing yardage in this one. Waddle has had at least 99 yards in three of his past four meetings with the Jets, including a monster 142-yard outing in 2023.
He might not be the most consistent player, especially with Tyreek Hill also in this offense, but his play against the Jets is hard to deny. With that in mind, we’re taking the over on Waddle’s receiving total tonight, believing he’s going to make magic happen against this leaky secondary.
De’Von Achane and Waddle can both put up numbers in the same game, which is exactly why we’re riding with both of them in this one. Tua Tagovailoa loves to check the ball down to Achane, especially when he gets in trouble, and tonight’s game shouldn’t be any different.
Achane has an astounding 23 targets on the season, a sign of how valuable he is to this offense. Look for him to get targeted early and often, easily eclipsing the six-catch mark in this primetime affair.
