The NFL season is finally here, so let’s take a look at three of the best bets to make for Sunday’s slate of games. Starting in MetLife, it is a virtual home game for the Steelers, so expect Rodgers and company to pull away from the Jets in typical Tomlin fashion.

Out West, Seattle is the underdog against San Francisco at home, but Sam Darnold may have something to say about that. Our top 3 best bets for Week 1 are presented below. Enjoy!

Pittsburgh at New York Jets

The Steelers fans are taking over MetLife this Sunday in an Aaron Rodgers vs. Justin Fields matchup that no one saw coming a few years ago.

With Arthur Smith’s run-heavy offense and Pittsburgh’s offense much more consistent than the Jets to start the season, I’ll take the Steelers to get some help from the away fans and walk out of New York 1-0 with a convincing win. Tomlin is 4-1 in his L5 Week 1 games.

Best Bet: Pittsburgh -2.5

Arizona at New Orleans

With an improved defense and their offensive weapons heading into another season together, the chemistry is there for Arizona to make a splash this season, starting with Week 1 in New Orleans.

The Saints are struggling to find talent across the board and are trending in the wrong direction to start the year, while Arizona is a favorite among executives to outperform their expectations. 6.5 is a large line, but K1 is a good Week 1 player - he has scored 12 total TDs in five games.

Best Bet: Arizona -6.5

San Francisco at Seattle

We are taking the underdog to cover here in Seattle. Sam Darnold takes over this offense from Geno Smith and inherits a ton of weapons. From JSN to Kupp to Kenneth Walker, the options are there for Darnold to have another positive season at the position.

On the other hand, Shanahan is 3-2 in season-opening games since 2020 and comes into this season without Brandon Aiyuk due to injury and Deebo Samuel after his departure.

With Seattle’s defense one of the more underrated units in the league in my eyes, expect the 49ers to struggle to pull away from the home team in this NFC West battle.

Best Bet: Seattle +2.5
