Happy Tuesday, NFL fans! The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we can't wait to see what surprises are in store on Thursday, April 24th, in Green Bay. The draft used to be a cash cow for us, but most online sportsbooks have significantly decreased the number of props they offer on it.
That being said, we did find three best bets that we think have plenty of expected value for your betting portfolios. In today's column, we'll focus on the Top 5 and Top 10 betting markets. Best of luck and enjoy the festivities.
We found this at -130 a few days ago and still like it at anything better than -200. Warren is by far the best tight end in this draft class and we have him going to the Bears at the No. 10 slot. Chicago still has Cole Kmet, but he's coming off kind of a subpar 2024 season that only saw him get 474 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
Warren has the rare combination of outstanding size (6'6" and 256 lbs.) and soft hands. The former Nittany Lion would be the perfect security blanket for soon-to-be 2nd-year QB Caleb Williams. He ran a 4.68-second 40, which is pretty darn good for such a massive human being.
Just how athletic is this kid? He used to be a high school QB, and he lettered in football, baseball, and basketball, so that tells you all you need to know. Chicago needs to give their young QB some more weapons, so it'd be a shocker if they didn't take Warren if he's still available.
This one's a long shot but hang with us for a minute before writing us as total NFL idiots. There's a huge lack of QB depth in this year's draft, so we expect a few teams to reach a bit in the first round. Heck, even in years with lots of competent QBs, there's always one signal-caller that gets picked way before he should. (Cue your favorite Daniel Jones or Josh Rosen jokes here.)
Dart has the skills and the pedigree to be an NFL starter. The 6'2" 223-pound Utah native was a standout under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss for the last three years. He also played pretty well at USC as a freshman. The young gunslinger has a quick release and an uncanny ability to throw the deep ball.
Who could take a leap of faith and take Dart in the Top 10? Possible suitors could include the Jets at No. 7 or the Saints at No. 9. We think the almost 5 to 1 price is worth a little sprinkle.
We're a bit shocked to find Graham at plus money in this spot. He's one of those rare defensive tackles who plays both the run and the pass at a high level. The 6'4" 296-pounder has a wickedly fast first step that makes him even more difficult for opposing linemen to block.
The bright lights of the NFL won't bother Graham in the least. He was a big reason why Michigan won the national championship a couple of years ago. This kid was constantly double-teamed, and his production didn't suffer one bit.
Graham can read offenses like a book, and he always seems to know when a screen pass is coming his way. Most mock drafts have Graham being taken by the Jaguars in the No. 5 slot. This plus money looks mighty good!
It certainly looks that way. Most online sportsbooks have Ward listed at -20000 odds to be the first pick on Thursday night in Green Bay. Ward has all of the tools to be a competent NFL starter, and he's coming off a stellar season with the Miami Hurricanes last year.
While most folks think the Tennessee Titans will take Ward at No. 1, there are still several draft experts who think Tennessee will trade that slot to another team to pile up multiple picks. Thankfully, we don't have to wait much longer to find out. Thursday night is coming soon!
