We have officially made it to Conference Championship Weekend! The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs was certainly a whirlwind, four games that fans won’t soon forget.
If you projected the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders to face off in the NFC Championship, we sincerely hope you put a bet down on it, and you might as well buy a lottery ticket while you’re at it. Chaos and an upset win brought the Commanders to this point, while the Eagles have worn down their opponents with some classic, run-the-ball-down-your-throat offense.
With all of that in mind, there are a lot of storylines heading into this matchup for both teams. We’re excited to watch it go down, which is why we’ve upped the stakes for this game by putting together our favorite player props from the matchup. Let’s dive in and take a peek at our favorite plays from Underdog!
This line seems closer to a prop in a college game, not an NFL contest. However, Saquon Barkley’s 2024 season has been anything but typical, and he nearly broke the single season rushing record.
He’s on a mission to help the Eagles run straight through the Commanders’ lackluster rush defense, hoping to put up a crooked number. It might feel like a lot, but we’re taking the over on Barkley’s rushing yardage line, especially since he’s averaging 162 yards per game in the playoffs. It’s not the time for us to fade him in a game of this magnitude.
Jayden Daniels’ rookie season has been spectacular. Daniels has put up some fantastic numbers, and some are saying that he had the best rookie season of all time based on some advanced analytics.
We’re not going to make a judgment call on that side of things, but we will say that this line is FAR too low for Daniels. The Eagles have a strong defense, yes, but Daniels has played exceptionally well against some of the best defenses in the league all season.
He nearly threw for 300 yards against the Detroit Lions last week, giving their defense the business. Look for him to have a similar outcome in this game, smashing the over in this spot.
Zach Ertz has turned into ole’ reliable in this offense. Whenever Daniels needs a first down in a crucial moment or a catch in the red zone, Ertz tends to deliver in a big way.
He’s found his footing as an elite tight end in the NFL again and should have his hands all over this game. We’re projecting him to have five or six catches, which is why we’re easily hammering the over on his reception line of 3.5.
