Conference Championship weekend is here! One thing has been constant in recent years, the Kansas City Chiefs, do they finally go down, or do they continue to find a way to reach the Super Bowl?
We get 2 fantastic games, full of rematches, revenge stories, and superstars on all 4 teams. This could be one of the most anticipated Conference Championship weekends I can remember. Washington heads into Philly at 3 pm EST and Kansas City hosts Buffalo at 6:30 pm EST. Let's get into my favorite picks!
I love this parlay pairing, and I also love the fact it involves both games! Austin Ekeler fits into this offense very well, and his targets go up on the road. In home games he averaged 2.5 targets, on the road he averaged 4.3 Ekeler also has 3+ receptions in 6/8 games on the road, 5 of his last 6, and had 8 against this same Eagles D back in November.
Travis Kelce just shows up in the playoffs, and while I like his regular line, I feel safer going this route. Not only does Kelce have 14 straight playoff games with at least 50+ receiving yards, he has 50+ in 5 of his last 6 games against Buffalo. He is coming off a game of 4 targets and 8 yards at Buffalo and I know he has that on his mind. He has 84 and 117 in 2 games this postseason.
If Kansas City doesn’t attempt to slow Khalil Shakir, it could be a long day for their defense. With them targeting Shakir, and spying on Allens legs, it will open opportunities for the others. Curtis Samuel has quietly averaged 2.2 receptions this season with a median of 2.
His median goes up to 3 over their last 5 games on the road, cashing 4 of their last 5 games. He also had 5 receptions on 6 targets against the Chiefs back in November. Samuel has cashed this line in 3 straight, 4 of his last 5, and 6 of his last 8 overall.
