The first round of the NFL playoffs is officially in the books, moving us to the divisional round. There weren’t as many close matchups in the first round as fans hoped, but we anticipate that trend will shift this weekend.

Only 8 teams remain, and this weekend’s games are crucial in determining the four teams that’ll make up the NFC and AFC Championships. We will break down our favorite Underdog player props from all four games, this time, going over our favorite picks from the highly anticipated battle between the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions.

The Commanders weren’t expected to be in this position when the season started, but now that they’re here, it’s Jayden Daniels’ time to shine. Can he and the Commanders pull off a stunning upset against the NFC’s top team? Let’s dive into the player prop side of things, hoping to sweep Underdog’s board!

Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 115.5 Rush & Receiving Yards

This is, by far, our favorite prop from this game. Jahmyr Gibbs has been the focal point of the Lions’ offense over the past month with David Montgomery falling to injury, and he’s handled the role with excellence and grace.

Montgomery might be coming back in this game in a limited capacity, but this is Gibbs’ backfield until proven otherwise. Gibbs’ prowess as a pass-catcher makes him a multi-faceted threat.

With several other options for Jared Goff to throw to, we think he’s going to have the Commanders in a blender. Look for Gibbs to have at least 120 all-purpose yards in this game, easily going over on his receiving and rushing prop.

Jayden Daniels OVER 54.5 Rushing Yards

It might seem like a lot of rushing yards for a quarterback, but we’re confident that Jayden Daniels is going to have a field day on the ground against the Lions’ defense.

Detroit’s defense looks closer to a hospital wing than anything else, and while they’ve won games without some of their top defenders, it hasn’t been easy.

The Lions might win this game, but it won’t be without a fight from Daniels and his teammates. We project Daniels to have a lot of success as a rusher, achieving at least 55 yards to cash the over on this prop.

Terry McLaurin OVER 8.5 Targets

The phrase “Keep it Simple, Stupid,” should be something Jayden Daniels keeps in the back of his mind throughout this game. The Commanders played well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, and a lot of their success was due to them playing their brand of football.

They should be able to compete with the Lions if they hold that mantra, and one of the biggest contributors on this team is Terry McLaurin, Daniels’ top target.

Look for Daniels to target him early and often in this matchup, hopefully making for sweat-free cash on his target line.
