Monday Night Football brings a huge NFC clash between the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers but for all of the wrong reasons. With the Lions chasing the NFC's top seed and the 49ers looking to salvage what they can from a frustrating season and potentially spoil the Lions’ hopes, this game is delivering plenty of value in the player props market.

Here are five of the best prop picks for tonight’s matchup. You’ll want to load your bet slips up with these gems.

Jared Goff Over 248.5 Passing Yards

  • Player Prop Odds: -105

Jared Goff is in the middle of a career-best season. He’s looking like absolute fire right now. In fact, the Lions’ offense runs through his arm.

He’s averaging 273 passing yards per game and he’s not slowing down. Goff has cleared this mark in 10 of his 15 starts, including 4 straight games. One of the best games of his career was a few weeks ago against Buffalo where he put up 494 yards and 5 TDs.

To add to this, the 49ers' pass defense ranks 3rd in the league, but that’s partially because teams lean on the run to attack them. But things are a bit different with Detroit. With Detroit missing David Montgomery, we expect the Lions to trust Goff to air it out against a San Francisco secondary that hasn’t faced a quarterback of Goff’s caliber in several weeks. Sure, there’s Gibbs, so the 49ers can’t completely write off the run game.

In what we think will be a potential shootout, Goff's consistent accuracy and Detroit's elite receiving corps, led by Amon-Ra St. Brown, should push him past this number with no problems at all. You can take that check to the bank.

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 87.5 Rushing Yards

  • Player Prop Odds: -115

Rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs has been nothing less than electric since stepping into a larger role a few games back.

He’s averaging 5.5 yards per carry and has topped this mark in rushing yards in 3 of his last 5 games. With David Montgomery sidelined Gibbs should see even more volume against a 49ers run defense that sits in roughly the middle of the pack as they’re ranking 16th in rushing yards allowed. That’s not to say he doesn’t double as a receiver, because he does, but officially his role is the RB1.

The Lions’ offensive line, one of the best in the league, should create plenty of opportunities for Gibbs to dominate on the ground. San Francisco has allowed over 100 rushing yards to backs in 2 of their last 3 games, so we’re expecting Gibbs to capitalize on this favorable matchup and pile on the rushing yards.

George Kittle Anytime Touchdown Scorer

  • Player Prop Odds: +100

Many of you won't like the idea of Kittle as an anytime touchdown bet, but bear with us. We can explain.

George Kittle has been the 49ers' best weapon of choice this season. He currently leads the team in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. So, there’s no question where he stands. He’s been particularly dangerous in the red zone despite not catching a TD in his past few games. Why does this matter?  He’s due up for a big game and will be looking to make a statement in his final game of the season. Also, against a team like the Lions and San Francisco’s inconsistent passing attack, Brock Purdy will lean on Kittle more in critical situations.

Detroit’s defense has struggled against TEs all year and they’re allowing the 8th-most touchdowns to the position. Kittle's ability to find soft spots in coverage makes him a decent bet to find the end zone at even money.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 72.5 Receiving Yards

  • Player Prop Odds: -115

Amon-Ra St. Brown has been one of the league’s most reliable receivers — not just Detroit’s. He’s averaging 75.1 yards per game with 1126 total yards on the season. He’s smoking hot and we think he’s going to blow through 73 yards with no issues.

The 49ers have allowed the 7th-most receiving yards to opposing wideouts, and we see St. Brown as Goff’s go-to target once again.

Whether working underneath or breaking big plays over the middle, St. Brown's route-running and ability to create yards after the catch make this over a pretty solid bet for MNF.

Brock Purdy Under 255.5 Passing Yards

  • Player Prop Odds: -115

Brock Purdy’s inconsistency has been a huge storyline for the 49ers this season. He’s averaging 249 passing yards per game and more often than not never clears 255 yards. In fact, he’s gone under this total in 3 of his last 5 outings.

The Lions rank 28th in passing yards allowed, but much of that stems from garbage-time production and big plays against them. The numbers don’t always paint a clear picture, so, you have to dig into them a little to really see what’s going on.

San Francisco’s offensive line is banged up, and Purdy has struggled when pressured. We’re expecting the Lions’ pass rush, who really haven’t slowed down since losing Aidan Hutchinson, to disrupt Purdy and force him into a short, controlled passing game. This will unquestionably keep his yardage totals in check.
