Monday Night Football brings us a huge NFC clash between the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field where the temperature is going to be in the low 30s and there is a possibility of snow.
Injuries have hit the Saints really hard, while the Packers are riding some serious momentum as Jordan Love continues to shine.
To help you bet on the game-time action, we’ve put together 5 of the best prop bets for this MNF matchup.
Player Prop Odds: -110
Jayden Reed has quietly become one of Jordan Love's most reliable targets. Sure, Love has a few, but Reed is really starting to establish himself. He’s putting up 51.9 receiving yards per game on average and only heating up.
With the Saints' pass defense ranked 28th in the league and allowing 242 yards per game, Reed is looking like he’ll surpass this modest number with ease.
Reed has eclipsed 42.5 receiving yards in 3 of his last 5 games and his targets only seem to be increasing. With Christian Watson drawing coverage as a deep threat, Reed should see enough targets on the short to intermediate routes to cash this prop with no problems.
His ability to separate against New Orleans' inconsistent secondary makes this a smart play even if the odds aren’t that great.
Player Prop Odds: -110
The Saints are putting their offense in the hands of the youngster Spencer Rattler, who faces a tough task against Green Bay’s eighth-ranked scoring defense.
Rattler has averaged just 176.5 passing yards per game in his limited action, and this Packers defense is surrendering only 105 rushing yards per game, forcing inexperienced quarterbacks to rely on the air attack. This might sound like a recipe for the OVER, but there’s more to this story.
With the Saints missing Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and others, Rattler is left with a limited arsenal of weapons he can choose from. We’re expecting the Packers' pass rush, led by the dominant Rashan Gary and Kenny Clark, to pressure Rattler into short throws and plenty of incompletions.
Despite the shorter odds, the under 174.5 yards is the safer side here.
Player Prop Odds: -280
Josh Jacobs is the heartbeat of the Packers' offense right now as he’s ranking 3rd in the NFL with 1,147 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. The crazy part is that he hasn’t really been heavily used until around Week 8.
He’s scored in 4 straight games and has the perfect matchup against a Saints defense that ranks 27th in rushing yards allowed with 134.36 per game and they’re pretty banged up on top of that.
While the -280 prop odds aren’t the most lucrative for this game, this pick feels like a lock. In fact, Jacobs might just notch a couple of TDs.
The Packers will look to establish Jacobs early in the game to set the tone, and he’s a strong bet to find the end zone in what we’re thinking will be a one-sided game with plenty of TDs coming from the Green and Gold.
Player Prop Odds: +115
With Green Bay dealing with quite a few injuries to their wide receiver corps earlier this season, Tucker Kraft has started to emerge as a solid option for Jordan Love.
The rookie TE is creating a name for himself and has shown flashes of his ability to stretch the field and rack up yards after the catch. He’s a big-body tight end that is a nightmare to bring down.
To take this a step further, the Saints struggle against tight ends, and Kraft’s prop is set at an easily achievable 33.5 receiving yards. We don’t always jump on tight ends because they can be a gamble on their own terms, however, this one looks good.
With Love playing some of his best football, Kraft should have a couple of chunk plays to cash this plus-money prop without hesitating.
Player Prop Odds: -115
The Packers’ pass rush will be a critical factor in this game to keep pressure on the inexperienced Rattler. That makes Rashan Gary the player to watch for tonight’s MNF matchup.
He’s averaging a solid 2.8 tackles and nearly a sack per game. He’ll also be facing a Saints offensive line that has struggled to protect its QBs making this a perfect situation for the veteran tackle.
Gary has the athleticism to capitalize on Spencer Rattler’s inexperience, especially with New Orleans likely forced to pass often while playing from behind.
At over 0.25 sacks, Gary needs just an assist behind the line to cash this prop, and that seems highly likely in this lopsided matchup.
There’s no question that this game heavily favors Green Bay. However, there’s value in both over and under plays depending on the situation.
We’re thinking that Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft should thrive against a leaky Saints secondary, while Rashan Gary will make life miserable for Spencer Rattler as he tries to work with the players he has. On the other side of the ball, the Saints' offensive struggles make the UNDER for Spencer Rattler’s passing yards a strong bet.
Pair these props with the game’s highly expected outcome, and you’ve got a recipe for a profitable Monday night with some of the best prop bets on the market.
