The Dolphins offense is back in full force with Tua Tagovailoa under center. After a pretty tough stretch with backup QBs, Miami’s offense has been brought back from the dead, putting up 27 points per game in the last 2 games.
Tagovailoa’s return has been a welcomed sight, as the Dolphins are loaded with explosive weapons in the passing game. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle add the vertical threat and unmatched speed, while the resurgence of tight end Jonnu Smith provides a new red-zone target.
Smith’s recent target share (15.6%) and red-zone presence make him one of our favorite anytime touchdown scorer options, especially with the plus odds +300.
While the Dolphins' offense has bounced back, their defense has struggled this entire season, ranking dead last in EPA per play allowed over the last 2 weeks. The Dolphins have struggled the most against the pass, which will undoubtedly mean some trouble against a Rams team with plenty of really good receiving options.
The Rams have been really strong offensively, especially with Matthew Stafford connecting with Cooper Kupp on a regular basis.
Kupp, with 22 targets in the last 2 games, is one of the most important pieces of this Rams offense.
With Puka Nacua and Kupp both available, the Rams have one of the league’s top duos at the WR position. Defenses simply can’t cover all of that. This passing game will thrive against a Dolphins secondary that has had difficulty containing explosive plays and Nacua and Kupp are nothing short of explosive.
Defensively, the Rams have been solid as well, especially against the run.
In the last 2 games, their defense ranks third in EPA per play allowed, making them a tough unit to beat even with elite offenses.
The Rams’ ability to slow down the run game is one of their most critical assets for this game, as Miami leans heavily on the ground to set up Tagovailoa’s play-action passing style.
If the Rams' defense can limit Miami’s rushing attack, they’ll force the Dolphins into a one-dimensional game plan, putting the pressure squarely on Tagovailoa and Miami’s offensive line.
Now to the good stuff. For this game, we’re sticking with anytime touchdowns. Everyone loves these and we simply can’t find anything better. Load up your bet slip with these gems.
Jonnu Smith (+300). With his red-zone presence and a higher target share with Tagovailoa, Smith is one of the best value bets on the market.
Cooper Kupp (+150). Kupp is a top red-zone target and has a flood of volume, making him a high-value choice as well.
The Rams come into this game healthier, with a balanced offense and a defense that’s been especially tough on the run. Miami will have an uphill battle with this line.
While Miami’s offense has improved for the most part, the Rams have been better overall on both sides of the ball. Additionally, Sean McVay’s dominant home record and the Rams' ability to control the game flow with their defense give LA the edge in this matchup.
