Monday Night Football Picks: Mims predicts Raiders at Chargers, with props for Derek Carr, Justin Herbert
The NFL Monday Night Football game has the Las Vegas Raiders playing the Los Angeles Chargers. The numbers are Chargers -3. with a total of 51.5. The money line is Chargers -170 & Raiders +145. Chargers are the home team.
Injury Report: For the Chargers, DT Justin Jones is out. CB Chris Harris Jr. and LB Kenneth Murray Jr. are listed as questionable.
For Raiders, RB Josh Jacobs is a game time decision. He has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.
51% of the action is on the Chargers. 71% of the public like the game over.
Prop Action: Derek Carr over 282.5 in passing yardage. The price is -115. He goes under. Justin Herbert over 27.5 completions. I would lay the 105 and go over. Herbert attempts are listed at 37.5. Take him over that number with a price of-125.
Coaching Match Up: Jon Gruden over Brandon Staley.
My take on the game: The Raiders are leading the league in total offense and tied for 6th in scoring. Chargers are ranked 9th in total offense and 19th in scoring. So, they move the ball but don’t get into the end zone. The Chargers defense held the Chiefs to 3 points in the 1st half of their 30-24 win over KC. They held Dallas to 20 points in their only loss of the season. Each of their games have gone under. L.A. will let you run the ball against them and that is something the Raiders don’t do extremely well. Raiders have covered the last four MNF games. The game has the making of a shootout if Josh Jacobs goes. Tonight, I will go against the trend of the Chargers defense. Take the Raiders and over.
