Teams You Should Bet on for the 2021 NFL Playoffs

If you are looking to put some money on the game, checking on stats, standings, predictions, and odds on teams would likely give you an advantage in earning back that money and more

The 2021 NFL Playoffs are now a few months away. Teams are currently cleaning up on their season standings. Some of them have already landed a safe spot for the playoffs and are taking it easy, while others are still trying to win their remaining games and making estimations if they still have a chance to play in the postseason.

Naturally, fans have their bias and favorites they want to reach the playoffs. However, if you are looking to put some money on the game, checking on stats, standings, predictions, and odds on teams would likely give you an advantage in earning back that money and more.

Certain teams from the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC) have ups on their standings and records throughout the season. They would likely make you bet on them as the champion.

Here are some of those teams for people who like making sports bets to base on who to root for in the upcoming 2021 NFL playoffs.

From the AFC

Here are the teams to watch out for:

Pittsburgh Steelers

By far, the Steelers are the most dominant team of the ’20 – ’21 season, currently the top team in the AFC Northern Division and the top seed on the AFC. Led by their veteran quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, they went on to have a 10-0 overall record as of the moment, after they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars with the score 27-3.

The Steelers have yet to end their run, with six games remaining in the regular season, but since, so far, no team has defeated them, they might have a chance at having a perfect run and a strong standing for the championship title.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs tally first in the AFC Western Division with a 9-1 record and as the second seed for the AFC. The defending champs from last season had a great start in this season until their loss to the Las Vegas Raiders 32-40, but they made up for it with a five-game win streak on the road led by their star player, Patrick Mahomes II, including a revenge win against the Raiders 35-31.

The team has a tremendous overall standing this season despite their hiccup against the Raiders. They are yet to complete their regular-season games and play against the Steelers, possibly during the playoffs.

Looking at their current condition and win streak, however, it is possible for them to have a strong showing during the 2021 Playoffs and go all the way for a chance to defend their last season’s championship title.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills top the Eastern Division of the AFC, with a 7-3 record, and is currently the third seed. The team holds a reasonably decent standing with those seven wins. Still, the three losses against the Tennessee Titans, the Chiefs, and recently against the Arizona Cardinals would undoubtedly put a strain in their momentum.

All was reasonably well for the team until one of their players, tight end Tommy Sweeney, was diagnosed with a heart complication, determined as myocarditis, related to COVID-19 and was forced to end his season run.

Other players like quarterback Josh Allen might be able to keep up the morale of the team after their losses. For the rest of the season to go well up to the playoffs, the entire team has to pull together to cement their chances of being a strong contender.

From the NFC

Here are the top teams to watch out for:

New Orleans Saints

The Saints are currently the top seed of the NFC. The top team of the NFC Southern Division also boasts a seven-game win streak and the top record of the conference at 8-2. Despite their losses from the Raiders and the Green Bay Packers earlier in the season, their current overall game is promising.

However, the Saints received a more considerable loss when their quarterback Drew Brees reportedly had 11 rib fractures, including a collapsed lung, sustained from their games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers.

While Brees recovers, they turn to their reserve quarterbacks, Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill, to lead their teams for the rest of the season. Currently, they have a safe standing with their third-seed 8-2 record, but hopefully, the Brees injury serves as fuel for the Saints to finish strong through the playoffs.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams currently hold a 7-3 record, sharing the second seed spot with the Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. They currently set a good record at their home field at 4-0, but they had their struggles on the road with a 3-3 record, handing over wins to the Bills, the 49ers, and the Miami Dolphins.

Despite the poor showing on the road, the team is currently on a two-game win streak, something they could use to get momentum. With the end of the season a few months away, the Rams have to keep up their momentum to have a shot at the title, something that escaped their grasp during the Super Bowl LIII when they lost to the New England Patriots.

Green Bay Packers

As mentioned before, the Packers, Rams, and Seahawks share the second seed spot and the season standing with each other. The team sports an average win-loss ratio, both at home and on the road. With them having a three-way tie with the Packers and Seahawks, they need to find some groove to push ahead of each other and cement a solid spot at the playoffs.
