In Sunday's late NFL games, Jared Hackmyer picks the Jets at Dolphins, Bucs at Packers and Rams at 49ers

With a matchup of Hall of Fame QBs and a great offense against a great defense, Jared's game of the week is the Packers vs Buccaneers.

DOLPHINS (-9.5) Jets (45.5)

Jared’s Pick: Dolphins

Breakout Player: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

Last week, Miami shocked everyone by putting up 43 points in a big win against San Francisco. Going against arguably a bottom three defense in this week, I can see the Dolphins having a similar week. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been succeeding in Miami, with WR DeVante Parker as his favorite target. The two have connected for 329 yards and 2 touchdowns. Parker should have a big day against New York’s secondary.

If New York wants to win this game, they are going to win it on defense. With QB Sam Darnold out, and RB Le’Veon Bell cut, their offense will definitely be worse. The Jets will need to minimize Fitzpatrick, I don't think they can.

PACKERS (-2.5) Buccaneers (55.5)

Jared’s Pick: Packers

Breakout Player: RB Aaron Jones

Green Bay against Tampa Bay is easily my game of the week. QB Aaron Rodgers has been unstoppable, passing for 13 touchdowns with no interceptions. With WR Davante Adams back this week, Rodgers will have an even bigger advantage against Tampa Bay. The Bucs defense currently ranks first in the NFL against the run, which could mean this is possibly going to be the first week we see a lower numbers from RB Aaron Jones.

Rams (-4) 49ERS (50.5)

Jared’s Pick: Rams

Breakout Player: TE Tyler Higbee

The Rams absolutely demolished the Football Team last week and QB Jared Goff has been looking way better than he did in 2019. L.A. ranks fourth in total offense, and Goff has thrown for 663 yards, and 4 touchdowns to just WRs Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. If L.A. can start to establish their true RB1, their offense will be way more explosive.

San Francisco's injury-plagued defense needs to cut down on the number of points they let up per game. Last week, the 49ers let Miami score 43 and LA’s offense is clearly better than Miami’s. San Francisco will have to limit L.A.’s amazing passing game if they want to top the Rams. Not going to happen.
