ESPN BET will now become available to Washington residents, courtesy of a strategic multi-channel partnership between parent company Penn Entertainment Inc. and Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE).
The long-term agreement makes ESPN BET the official sports betting partner of MSE and its teams, which include the NHL Washington Capitals, NBA Washington Wizards, and WNBA Washington Mystics.
Jim Van Stone, MSE President of Business Operations and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.

Penn Entertainment also mirrored MSE's positive reaction, with Aaron LaBerge, chief technology officer speaking on the development.

A major part of the contract arrangement is ESPN BET and MSE establishing an integrated marketing system that improves fan experience. Expected collaborations will include prominent in-arena and media components, such as ESPN BET features in Capitals and Wizards game broadcasts on Monumental Sports Network (MNMT).

MSE and Penn support the American Gaming Association’s Have A Game Plan® Bet Responsibly™ campaign. Penn’s ESPN BET particularly provides players with tools that encourage sustainable, healthy gambling. Washington players signed to ESPN BET can apply time, deposit, and wager limits to maintain a standard gaming budget.
