The bayside casino’s latest restaurant is further proof that AyCee is putting the COVID-19 pandemic behind it.

Those of you who believe you shouldn’t eat the seafood if you can’t see the sea are in luck: Say hello to Rum Point Crab House at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City.

The seafood-centric dining room, which begins welcoming the hungry hordes today at 5 p.m., replaces the Mexican outlet Veracruz. Its perch overlooking Absecon Bay provides, in our humble opinion, the best sunset views of any casino restaurant in town.

While crab—including king and queen legs, Dungeness and locally sourced blues--is, unsurprisingly, the menu anchor--the fare also includes gulf shrimp; Cape May salt oysters; Barnegat Bay clams; and Maine lobster, all of which can be consumed via the raw bar and in plates, bowls and other formats. For the landlubbers among us, there’s a selection of steaks, including what is being billed as Rum Point’s signature ribeye, house-smoked baby back ribs and the Rum Point Burger, a combo of dry-aged beef and aged white cheddar cheese served on a toasted brioche bun.

Rum Point Crab House is opening with a limited operating schedule for May: 5-10 p.m. Fridays and 5-11 p.m. Saturdays (extended hours Memorial Day weekend).

Borgata seated at Pennsy cyber-poker table

Online poker devotees in the Keystone State can now play on two MGM Resorts-branded sites: BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker.

Both apps and sites are operated on the partypoker US platform and both offer a wide array of poker variations and betting limits, as well as cash games and tournaments. While the BetMGM app is live, the Borgata app’s launch has not yet been scheduled.

“Pennsylvania customers will find that BetMGM Poker and Borgata Poker provide engaging experiences for both new and seasoned players,” said Ray Stefanelli, BetMGM’s director of poker. The partypoker US Network supports the online poker community, providing access to training initiatives designed to help all participants strengthen their play.”

And what would the debut of a new gambling site be without all manner of special offers and enticements? New Pennsylvania players are eligible for a $25 bonus and a 100 percent deposit-match bonus, up to $600. All newbies can also participate in one of the Opening Week Freeroll events (May 9-16). New and existing BetMGM and Borgata Casino players who join the poker club receive an invitation to the $40,000 Crossover Invitational Freeroll event on May 16.

And, of course, all Pennsy poker players will accrue M Life rewards points redeemable at MGM Resorts including Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa; MGM Grand, Bellagio and ARIA in Las Vegas; MGM Grand Detroit; MGM National Harbor in Oxley, Md. and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Miss.
