Mims conversation with SugarHouse Casino Vice President and General Counsel Evan Davis     

I ran into Evan Davis as I was about to depart for New York and the Bet on Sports America Conference. This is a comprehensive gathering that is focus on sports betting. This conference features seminars and prominent experts on the many aspects of wagering on sports.

Evan Davis serves as Vice President and General Counsel of SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, Evan oversees all legal matters including those involving regulatory, labor and employment, construction, intellectual property, real estate, litigation, compliance, risk management and contractual issues for a company with nearly $300 million in annual gaming revenues.

We spoke briefly about the conference and Evan graciously answered the following questions.

What are you speaking on at the Bet on Sports America Conference?
“My panel is on Wednesday. It is taxation, consumer protection & sports integrity – why states should legislate.”
