Can you make money betting Kyler Murray?

Just this morning, we saw two sets of reputable odds regarding the NFL draft and whether Kyler Murray would be the No. 1 pick.

One set at Murray at +110, the other at - 200.

So the short answer is no.

Sports betting bills across America

The big news is that Florida is addressing sports betting as of today in the state legislature. The interesting aspect, according to the Orlando Sentinel, is that they seem sort of obsessed with the ability to place prop bets at stadiums. And prop bets on golf.

“I’ve heard all kinds of different feedback, that prop betting is a very profitable way of doing it (sports betting),” Senate President Bill Galvano (R-Bradenton) said.

Prop bets have made golf “one of the most profitable sports-betting sports there is,” he said.

Hmm... Sounds like a gentleman who may have sweated out a Rickie Fowler 15-footer.

  • Dan Dakich @ dandakich on Lebron James: "Hold on..James and his diva nonsense is directly responsible for the Lakers awfulness yet sports media say 'shut him down' thus making him some type of martyr...sports media is ridiculous"
  • Speaking of ridiculous, Mike Jensen @ jensenoffcampus is 100% right about the Ivy League's decision to play its post-season basketball tournament at every campus venue, no matter how small or out of the way. It's "insane."

Monday Results

It was already a very slow day on the regional sports scene and then Parx racing cancelled due to weather. So the bad news is we only had three picks - two NBA games from smoking hot Greg Frank and one ACC pick from Mark Eckel. The good news is all three won! Quality over quantity.

We've got more action today and will again try to deliver no losers.

Good luck at the tables, windows, kiosks and apps.
