Welcome to Week 3 of college football, fellow sports investors. There's nothing like a Saturday packed with lots of fun matchups like we have on this weekend's card. I've found some betting value on Saturday afternoon's Georgia vs. Tennessee game, which kicks off at 3:30 PM Eastern Time on ABC.

I've broken down this matchup from every angle and came up with an early best bet for your wagering pleasures. Good luck and enjoy the game! This should be a fun one to watch!

Betting Odds for Georgia vs. Tennessee

Online sportsbooks opened this line at Georgia -6.5 last spring. There has been a rather large appetite for Tennessee, as most sportsbooks now list this line at Georgia -3.5 as of Monday afternoon. That's a large move down after only two weeks of play.

As for the game total, there hasn't been much on that front either. The line opened at 50.5, and almost every sportsbook in the US is still dealing that number. The only exception right now is Bally Bet, which is currently offering 49.5

Will Georgia Play Up to Their Potential?

The Bulldogs have looked a bit sluggish so far to start 2025. New starting QB Gunnar Stockton has looked okay at times, but he's thrown just two touchdown passes so far. RB Nate Frazier has also been kind of a disappointment, as he's only found 116 yards on the ground.

Georgia's defense once again looks really stout, but they've only played two bad football teams up to this point, so it's tough to get a real read on them. Even still, Raylen Wilson looks like a fantastic linebacker, and the Dawgs have several nice pass rushers as well.

Can Tennessee Really Pull the Upset?

Everyone worried that the Vols would take a step back when Nico Iamaleava left Knoxville for greener pastures at UCLA. That hasn't been the case so far, mainly because Joey Aguilar has thrown for 535 yards and 5 TDs. This kid has played a lot of college football, and he's looked calm as a cucumber so far this season.

Tennessee's defense probably won't be as dominant as they were a year ago, as they lost a ton off of that amazing unit. That being said, Joshua Josephs has already racked up a couple of sacks, and Arion Carter has registered 13 tackles. The Vols will definitely be trying to scheme up ways to get pressure on UGA QB Gunnar Stockton.

Best Bet: Georgia -3 (-120) (Fanatics)

Tennessee looked fantastic against a pretty bad Syracuse team in Week 1, then they boat raced ETSU in Week 2. The Vols are good, but keep in mind that this line was hovering around -6.5 or even -7 for most of the summer.

All that to say, I think that this is a great buy-low spot on Georgia. They didn't cover against Marshall Week 1, and they didn't look all that impressive in a weird weather-delayed game against Austin Peay last week.

Kirby Smart has had Tennessee's number over the years, and something tells me he's got an excellent game plan to slow down Josh Heupel's fastball offense. Let's lay the points! Go Dawgs!

Prediction: Georgia 31 - Tennessee 20
