2024 CFB Record: 4-2
After a 3-0 sweep in Week 2, we're fired up for the Week 3 slate of college football. The incredible thing was that all 3 of our plays were underdogs and all 3 won outright (Cal, Iowa State, Virginia)! How cool is that?
There aren't as many marquee matchups as last week, but we still found 3 best bets for Saturday, September 14. Thanks for reading, and best of luck with all of your wagers this week! Let's cash!

I'm still not sold on this Pitt team. Sure, their epic comeback on the road against Cincy was fun to watch, but I think that was more of a meltdown on the Bearcats' part than anything else. The Panthers offense has some nice numbers, but most of those were racked up against Kent State in Week 1.
West Virginia let us down in Week 1 against Penn State, but I'm still pretty bullish on them this season. Garrett Greene and CJ Donaldson Jr. form one of the top rushing attacks in the Big 12 and their O-line should be able to get some push against this Pitt front 7.
My main concern with the 'Neers is on the defensive end. They got exposed a bit against Drew Allar and the Penn State passing attack.
That said, Allar is a lot more seasoned than Pitt freshman QB Eli Holstein. This will be the first true test of the youngster's career. Give me the experienced Greene over the frosh in this one. Country Roads, take me Home!

I've made a small fortune fading KJ Jefferson and I'll keep betting against him even though he's wearing a new uniform. By the way, hasn't this kid been playing college football since the Obama administration? He must be on the new 10-year plan thanks to the beauty of NIL deals.
Jefferson has looked okay against two cupcake teams in Sam Houston State and New Hampshire. In both cases, UCF was able to out-athlete their opponent. I don't see that happening here against a pretty talented TCU squad.
I was a bit surprised that the Horned Frogs had a rough time with Stanford in Week 1, but I have liked what I've seen from sophomore QB Josh Hoover. He's thrown for 620 yards and 4 TDs and has yet to throw a pick! Hoover also has some nice weapons around him with RB Cam Cook and WR Savion Williams. Let's go Frogs!

Kurtis Rourke was a staple of the Ohio Bobcats offense over the last few years. He's now the main man under center for Indiana and you just know he's dreamed of the chance to strut his stuff against the bigger schools.
The 6'5" 223-pounder is off to a great start for the Hoosiers, as he's amassed 4 total touchdowns while throwing for 448 yards. Rourke should do some serious damage against a UCLA team that had all kinds of trouble against Hawaii in Week 1.
The Bruins are coming off of a weird early season bye week, but I'm still expecting a long year for them. QB Ethan Garbers had a decent 2023, but I still don't think he's a bonafide playmaker. Let's lay the small number with Indy! Go Hoosiers!
