Happy Friday, sports betting peeps! Thursday was a great afternoon for us on the college hardwood, as our player props went 2-1 to run our record to 56-47 on the season. That brings our overall profit up to +3.21 units.
Our two Unders were a massive sweat, but they worked out in the end. Finley Bizjack of Butler cashed one of our luckiest tickets of the season, as he scored 10 points to get us the win by the hook. North Carolina's Ven-Allen Lubin also stayed under his point total in the Tar Heels' victory over Wake Forest.
Our lone loser was on Zhuric Phelps of Texas A&M, who finished with only 8 points against a scrappy Texas defense. He shot an abysmal 3 of 19 from the field in that double OT thriller. I like Phelps, but I honestly think my 87-year-old grandmother could make more than 15% of her shots.
All in all, though, I was glad to end up at 2-1. Let's keep the hot streak alive with 2 more player props for Friday's conference tournament games.
Oregon vs. Michigan State: Noon ET • Big Ten Network
Assists have burned me a little bit this season, but Jeremy will calm our Fears today. Sorry, I'm in a bit of a kidding mood this morning. In all seriousness though, this line should be 5.5 instead of 4.5.
Even with the emergence of Jase Richardson, Fears is still the best facilitator on this Spartans roster. The 6'2" freshman averages 5.5 assists per game and he should do just fine against an Oregon defense that ranks just 152nd in assists allowed.
Lastly, I love betting on a guy that's had five days of rest that's facing a team that just played yesterday. Fears should get us this Over midway through the 2nd half. Vamos!
Fears is 22-8 to the Over vs. this line in '24-25.
Fears has gone Over this line in 9 of 15 road or neutral-site games.
Fears is 2-1 to the Over vs. this line over his last 3 games.
BYU vs Houston: 7:00 pm ET • ESPN2
Cryer has been hotter than blue blazes from 3-point land lately and I think he lights it up again from downtown in the Big 12 tournament. BYU ranks just 235th in 3-point defense, so Cryer should get plenty of open looks.
The 6'1" senior is the heart and soul of this Houston team. Head coach Kelvin Sampson has a deep level of trust in Cryer, so look for him to keep his point guard on the floor as much as possible. BYU has a great offensive team, so Houston will have to score more than usual in this one.
Cryer usually makes at least 3 shots from beyond the arc, and it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up with 4 or 5 made 3s tonight. Let's cash another Over! Good luck with your bets, my friends!
Cryer is 18-13 to the Over vs. this line in '24-25.
Cryer has gone Over this line in 4 of his last 5 road games.
Cryer is 9-2 to the Over vs. this line over his last 11 games.
