Can Dylan Harper help Rutgers upset Michigan on Thursday night?

Happy Thursday, sports betting friends! Wednesday was a solid night for us on the college hardwood, as our player props went 2-1 to run our record to 44-36 on the season. That brings our overall profit up to +4.69 units.

The Ole Miss Rebels were good to us and our bankrolls last night. Sean Pedulla easily went over his point total, even though the Rebs were blown out on the road against Auburn. Pedulla's teammate Malik Dia also stayed under his points total to ensure a winning night for us.

Our lone loser was on Jason Edwards of Vandy, who beat us by the dreaded hook by scoring exactly 15 points. Let's build on the positive momentum from yesterday. Enjoy the college hoops action, folks!

Kaleb Glenn (FAU) Over 11.5 Points (-105)

North Texas at FAU: 7:00 PM EST (ESPN2)

This line doesn't make a lick of sense! Glenn is FAU's most reliable scorer, and he just put up 20 points on the road against this same North Texas squad back on January 26th. Hopefully, the 6'6" forward can channel those positive vibes once again on Thursday night for us.

My only concern with this bet is that North Texas ranks dead last in the nation in possessions per game. That means that they prefer to run their offense at a snail's pace. However, that's offset by FAU ranking 37th in pace, which trims my worries a little bit.

Lastly, I love that Gleen is shooting 55% from the field this season. That means he won't have to take many shots to get over this relatively short number. Check out some other positive trends for the Over below!

More Trends for Glenn's Over

  • Glenn is 16-11 to the Over vs. this line in '24-25.

  • Glenn has gone Over this total in 4 of his last 4 outings.

  • Glenn has gone Over this line in 8 of his 11 home games this year.

Vladislav Goldin (Michigan) Under 17.5 Points (-125)

Rutgers at Michigan: 9:00 PM EST (Peacock)

Mikey Nobs, have you lost your mind again? It's possible! Heck, it wouldn't be the first time! It's never easy fading one of the best big men in the country, but I'm going to take a double shot of Pepto and do it anyway.

Goldin is the best all-around player on the Wolverines, but his median point total this season is just 15. I get that Rutgers doesn't have a lot of defensive prowess, but keep in mind that they held Goldin to just 14 points back on February 1st.

Michigan likes to spread the ball around to a lot of different guys, which should also help our Under. It's also nice that Goldin typically only attempts 8 shots from the field in most games.

More Trends for Goldin's Under

  • Goldin is 16-11 to the Under vs. this line in '24-25.

  • Goldin has gone Under this line in 6 of his last 9.

  • Goldin is 9-4 to the Under vs. this line in home games.

Dylan Harper (Rutgers) Over 17.5 Points (-108)

Rutgers at Michigan: 9:00 PM EST (Peacock)

If you haven't seen Harper play, you're in for a real treat! This kid may end up being the first pick in the NBA Draft in a few months. He's a 6'6" guard with good length and a knack for driving the lane.

Michigan has a stingy defense, but they haven't faced anyone like Harper this season. His median point total is 20, but I think that's kind of a misrepresentation because he tried playing with the flu a couple of times earlier this season. That skewed his numbers a little lower than they should be.

Rutgers is a double-digit underdog in this game, and they have virtually no shot at getting into the NCAA Tournament. Look for the Scarlet Knights to treat this as their championship game and for Harper to go off in a big way.

More Trends for Harper's Over

  • Harper is 17-8 to the Over vs. this line in '24-25.

  • Harper has gone Over this total in 4 of his last 6 outings.

  • Harper has gone Over this line in 9 of his 11 road or neutral-court games this year.
