From Monday: I knew Colgate had been playing well but giving 17 1/2 was a lot of points when Holy Cross had also been playing well. Holy moly were the Crusaders terrible, trailing by as many as 34 before losing 87-60.

Lehigh at Colgate, 7 pm EST.

Colgate -12 1/2, -110. $11 to win $10.

Fool me twice, shame on me. The Red Raiders are at home and in their best form of the season. They haven't won a league game by less than 13 and Lehigh nipped them at Lehigh in their Patriot opener.

Loyola Maryland at Holy Cross, 7 pm EST

Loyola Maryland -5, -110. $11 to win $10.

Holy Cross was awful at Colgate Monday and the return home should help. That Loyola isn't Colgate should help. But the Greyhounds from Baltimore are in a 4-way tie for third place and are coming off a tough 1-point loss to Navy, so they should be in no mood to mess around.

American at Bucknell, 7 pm EST

Bucknell -5, -110. $11 to win $10.

This is a game the perfectly exemplifies why it's both fun and challenging to bet on bad teams. In Pomeroy, Bucknell is 338, American is 344, so they're basically even. Their adjust defenses are among the worst, but basically even. Bucknell has a slightly better offense. In the Patriot, American is 9th at 2-8, Bucknell is 10th at 2-10, so this is a battle for last place in the nation's 28th-ranked conference. Bucknell has not won a league game by more than 3 points. American beat Bucknell by 8 in D.C. Five points seems like a lot but changing the line seems like a wuss move and Lewisburg, PA., is cold and dreary this time of year for a visiting team. I also don't think Bucknell star Andrew Funk wants to finish last in his senior season and could have a big game at home.
