Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Miami Hurricanes, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Miami -186, bet $37.04 to win $20; Miami -4 (-112), bet $16.67 to win $15

Notre Dame can’t possibly play as poorly as they did against Duke on Monday, shooting 27.9% (16.7% from three). But they’re facing a Miami team that’s tied for the top spot in the ACC and 9-2 at home. The Hurricane’s adjusted offense is top-20 in the country, and they’ve had three days of rest. As much as the 80s are gone, never underestimate Miami’s desire to beat up on the Irish. I think the better team with the better offense and a (minor but lingering) grudge means a win for the ‘Canes tonight.

Florida State Seminoles at Clemson Tigers, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Florida State +3.5 (-108), bet $21.51 to win $20; Florida State +143, bet $10 to win $14.30

Florida State has dropped two in a row but before that had reeled off a six-game winning streak, including beating Duke in overtime. They’re not afraid of tough teams, they’re 7-3 in their last ten, and according to Pomeroy, they’ve faced a tougher schedule than the Tigers, with teams averaging the fourth-best adjusted offense in the country. Clemson does not have that great an offense. I feel the Seminoles are better, but at the very least these two squads are evenly matched, so I’ll take the points, and put a taste on Florida State to pull off the upset, one I’d consider minor.
