NCAAB teasers of the day from Kern: Illinois vs Ohio State, and, if you really want another, Houston vs Connecticut

Last night we did really well. So by all means let’s try to keep that going. But just remember that when you’re dealing with teasers, it only takes getting one wrong to screw everything up.

The being said, let’s forge ahead. Because what else is there?

For starters I’ll try Ohio State to win at home against Illinois. Both teams are 20-9. Ohio State has been really good at home, while Illinois has won four straight and four of its last six on the road. I think the Buckeyes will get it done in this spot. Heck they might even cover the real spread. I’ll put them with Arizona State to win against visiting Washington. The Wildcats are 12-2 at home, the Huskies are 1-7 away. So I’m just looking for two home wins. Hope that’s not asking for too much, even though I know sometimes it has been.

Not thrilled about a lot else that’s out there. I was even looking at teasing Sacramento down to a win against the Sixers, but if I do that then this is the one road game the Sixers will finally win. But the Kings have been pretty good lately, for the Kings.

If you really need another college play, I would look at Connecticut at home getting 7 against Houston. I like Houston, but they do play a lot of close games. And the Huskies have been getting better. So this may be too many points to give them. Along those lines you could also take Wichita State getting seven at Memphis. Wichita won the first meeting by nine, and while I think Memphis may get its revenge the touchdown just seems like it can be enough.
