We hate to pick against St. Joseph’s (7-9) at home, but since a Dec. 22 defense-led victory against Loyola-Chicago, they’ve been, frankly, awful. Losers of four in a row, including home-pastings by George Mason and George Washington, they should struggle against a solid 12-4 Davidson team that’s won three straight. Maybe the Hawks can squeak out a nail-biter but moving the line in Davidson’s favor seems too good to pass up. We’re going to pair that up with Miami (OH) +10.5 @ TOLEDO. The Rockets (13-3) were 12-1 before getting smacked around by Ball St. and Buffalo, but they should be too much at home for the 8-8 Red Hawks, whose best win this season is a 65-62 road win against 8-10 Wright State. Toledo gets the teaser points.
