Thunder vs. Nuggets Predictions 2 Player Props and Best Bet for Game 6
Can Jamal Murray and the Nuggets get by the Thunder in Game 6?
Published on

Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and the Denver Nuggets are once again on the brink of elimination. With this series back at home and this squad as underdogs, I’m taking the former champions to have a bounce back shooting night while Jamal Murray delivers another clutch performance.

After two straight Oklahoma City victories, Jokic should use his three level scoring to push the series back to Oklahoma where we will get the best two words in sports - Game 7.

Best Bet: Denver Nuggets +4.5

The Nuggets are on the brink of elimination once again after dropping two straight to Oklahoma City. In Game 4, Denver shot just 24% from beyond the arc, while last game, the squad went just 28% from deep.

That trend should change today, now that they are back at home. Although dropping two straight, this team has dealt with the ups and downs the season has to offer, and ultimately, this is a moment where Jokic and Murray should shine, while Aaron Gordon will get back to his winning ways.

The Nuggets lost two straight in their first-round series against the Clippers and went on to rally back in that series. Expect Denver to push this series to seven games tonight.

Jamal Murray (DEN) OVER 21.5 Points

If Denver has any chance at pushing the series to Oklahoma City for a seventh game, Jamal Murray will be the main offensive contributor.

Murray has a 23.9 PPG career playoff average, and in Game 6s, he’s gone for 24 PPG in seven outings. Playing 44 minutes in the Nuggets Game 6 loss to Los Angeles, Murray’s added minutes in this elimination game should give him enough chances to hit this prop mark.

In elimination games, you want Murray on your side. The veteran guard averages 27.8 PPG in 11 career elimination games, including three games with 40+ points.

Aaron Gordon (DEN) OVER 9.5 Rebounds & Assists

It won’t be a Nuggets victory without a massive Aaron Gordon contribution on both sides of the basketball. Gordon has hit this prop mark in four of the Nuggets’ six playoff victories this postseason, while averaging nearly 10 RPG and 3.2 assists per contest in this second-round series.

The Thunder’s shooting percentages should lessen away from home in a game that could start slowly once again.

AG is bound to play around 40 minutes in this elimination game, which he is accustomed to in a Denver uniform. The high-flying forward has hit this prop in three of six career elimination games.
