The Raptors are traveling to Milwaukee to face Giannis and Dame in an Eastern Conference showdown. The game will tip off at 7:00 PM ET, with the Raptors coming off a massive win over the Celtics, this could be an excellent matchup!

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo Probable

  • Khris Middleton Probable

  • Gary Trent Jr Probable

Matchup Breakdown

Milwaukee and Toronto are coming into this game winning their last two. Scottie Barnes has been the difference-maker these previous two games for Toronto. His versatility on both sides of the court has been invaluable to a young Raptors roster looking for their anchor. Despite their record, Toronto is full of talent. They have a team that can win big games, and with everyone healthy, they will be a real challenge for Milwaukee.

For Milwaukee, they’ll have to rely on their defense tonight. If they can slow down this young team and force them into jump shots, they’ll have a great chance to win. Overall, Milwaukee has the better top-end talent, but Toronto is feisty. They’ll try to get out and run in front of Milwaukee if possible.

This matchup will likely come down to interior defense. If Toronto can keep Giannis out of the restricted area, they’ll have a shot. With the way he has been attacking the rim this year, that might be a big ask for Poeltl.

Betting Lines (DraftKings)

  • Money line: TOR (+440) / MIL (-600)

  • Total Points: 232.5

  • Spread: +11 TOR (-105) / -11 MIL (-115)

Money line Prediction

Obviously, the books are heavily leaning toward the Bucks tonight. That’s probably the correct angle, but with -600 odds, they’re not tempting anyone onto that line. Giving Toronto +440 almost feels insulting to a team that just knocked off the Celtics. I’d go in low, but taking Toronto feels like a worthwhile risk on a team that might be on the rise.

Total Points Prediction

This point total is too high. When Toronto played Milwaukee earlier in January the score total was basically the exact same. However, that was with the Bucks bench putting up a massive 63 points combined. I doubt we see that type of productivity out of them again. Taking the under looks like a solid bet tonight.

Spread Prediction

This spread is insane. Yes, Toronto did lose at home to Milwaukee by 24 the last time they played, but they have momentum now. Coming off a couple of wins, one over the Celtics can change the mentality of a young team. I’d go with the Toronto spread all day at +11. I think Toronto will keep this game close at the very least.

Top Prop Bets

Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 28.5 Points (-105)

Giannis will have a tough matchup down low tonight with Poeltl. In their last two games against Toronto, Giannis scored 11 and 23 points. With length and size down low, it may be a challenge for Giannis to get the rim where he’s the most efficient.

Bobby Portis 8+ Rebounds (-115)

Taking the alternate rebounding line for Portis' rebounds feels solid. Toronto's bench unit isn’t incredible down low, which should allow Portis to clean up. In the last two matchups between these teams, he had 7 and 8 rebounds, respectfully. This line is well within reach for him tonight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo 7+ Assist (+100)

With a tough matchup down low, Giannis will likely be moving the ball more tonight. With most of the defensive attention on him tonight, he should be able to beat the defense passing. Averaging 6 assists a game so far this year, even money for a 7th isn’t a bad deal.

Gradey Dick Over 2.5 Threes Made (+130)

With the paint containing Giannis, Lopez, and Portis on defense for Milwaukee, Toronto may lean towards the three more tonight. With Gradey being one of the most efficient shooters on the team, he could have his number called to up his attempts. Three made three might be a little much, but it’s well within his range if he ups his attempts.
